Francesca is an Italian singer and actress moved to New York City in 2013. She has performed in concerts and musicals in New York City and Italy. She also performed her solo show “An Italian In New York” in summer 2016 at Feinstein’s/54 Below. Her Asian debut is going to be on November 2016 in Hong Kong.

Francesca Capetta was born and raised in Italy. She studied Italian voice techniques in Turin, Milan and Rome. Francesca attended the Music Academy of Mogol and at the same time completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.

After winning a scholarship, she moved to NYC and graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

 

Right after graduation, in the Spring 2015, she performed at the Metropolitan Room, voted number one jazz cabaret club by New York Magazine.

 

In July 2015 Francesca has been chosen as one of the most outstanding Musical Theater graduates in the State of New York, leading her to perform in the concert “Broadway Rising Star” at the Town Hall. The 2015 Rising Stars was directed by the award-winning singer and actor Scott Coulter and spearheaded by Scott Siegel, creator, writer, host of Town Hall's beloved Broadway by the Year series.

In summer 2015 Francesca did her 54 Below debut, club known as the Broadway’s living room, singing in the show “Edith Piaf: An All Star Celebration”.

“The very beautiful Capetta opened with a dramatic and emotive “La vie en rose,” Piaf’s signature song. Capetta’s evocative facial expressions enhanced her performance of If You Love Me (Really Love Me), the hit English version of the Piaf-penned L’hymne à l’amour.”

In fall 2015 Francesca joined the cast of Ziegfeld Midnight Frolic in the role of the “Hotel Maid” at the Broadway Liberty Theatre in Times Square, NYC. The show had an impressive 6 month run and became the longest running show at The Liberty Theatre in 82 years.

Francesca performed her solo show “An Italian in New York” on June 2016 at Feinstein’s/54 Below. The show sold out and received rave reviews. To join Francesca on stage there were the Broadway actors Gay Marshall and Brian Charles Rooney. The musical director was the Broadway arranger Ian Herman accompanied by Howie Gordon on drums and Sam Hoyt on trumpet.

In July and August 2016, she performed as Frances (Dutch’s wife) in a new immersive production of Speakeasy Dollhouse: The Bloody Beginning. The show had a successful 5 years run at a Lower East Side location and had returned for the summer to a beautiful new venue, The Williamsburg Savings Bank in Brooklyn, New York. In August 2016 Francesca performed in “Broadway By Guitar” at Feinstein’s/ 54 Below with the world-renowed Sean Harkness. Broadway by Guitar is a blissfully beautiful and musically dramatic approach to the iconic songs of The Great White Way, a full concert of famous Broadway songs that have never before been performed with solo guitar.

Francesca will be singing at the Metropolitan Room at the end of September and she will be making her Asian debut in November 2016 in Hong Kong.
